“ I have become involved in activities and events both in andout of school over the last three years. I have helped setup events such as the Senior Citizens Party and The Talent Show and helped with Sponsor a School, Valentine’s Day, The Catering Task Force and have been invited to the Harrow Youth Council day “Get Involved”.
“I am very proud to be in the School Committee and I hope to put all my effort in in the future.” Sadaq
“ I think becoming a member of the committee means you have to be responsible, organised and willing to give up time for it.”
“Being a member has built on my confidence and collaboration skills.”
“As a group all the members co-operate very well and have been extremely successful.” Mursal

“I am a member of the Harrow Youth Council and have enjoyed many years of the decisions and debates being held within that council. When I was given the opportunity to be on the committee I was delighted!”
“One of the highlights this year was an event organised by the Harrow Youth Council called ‘Get Involved’ which was all about showing young people the clubs and opportunities that are available to them, encouraging them to get off the streets and reduce the crime rate. This was an amazing success with hundreds of people attending, including Park High committee members.” Hannah

“I have been a member of the school committee for three years. Many issues that are raised from the pupils go through the school committee and we bring those issues to the attention of the staff. Being in the school committee gives you communication, co-operation and organisation skills.” Michaella

“Being part of the committee makes you part of a team; you learn to listen, negotiate and communicate with peers of all ages. Being on the committee I have felt a great sense of achievement when events that we have planned right from the beginning, such as The Talent Show and Valentine’s Day, are happening and people are enjoying them. Over the years we have raised lots of money for charities such as The Shoebox Appeal, The Earthquake Appeal and The National Children’s Home. It’s a great feeling that you can change someone’s life for the better just taking a few moments out of your own to do something for them.” Leanne
