About a month ago, we received our options form to choose our GCSE subjects. Most of the year group were shocked to find that we only got to choose two of our desired subjects. One student thought she’d take action by creating a petition on Facebook claiming we wanted more than two options. By Monday, the group had twenty two members. By Thursday, it had over three-hundred members. No one thought that the school would take this into consideration but we thought wrong.

 

As the word spread about the petition on Facebook, more students got talking about it during school, between lessons and at lunch. The Deputy Head, Miss. Walsh overheard the word ‘petition’. She decided to investigate further and discovered the group on Facebook. She felt obliged to take action.

 

Now, we have three options of our choice! Facebook works miracles!
